Borneo Orangutan Project Volunteer tour

1/8

The Island of Borneo lies off of the Malaysian Peninsula and is made up of the countries of Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia. The Orangutan Project is based out of the city of Kuching, Malaysia north Borneo and the International Animal Rescue (IAR) is based in Ketapang, Indonesia south Borneo. The Island lies on the equator and was once one of the most diverse jungles outside of the Amazon, but now illegal logging, mining and Palm oil plantations have destroyed the majority of jungle and habitat for this unique environment. We would like to bring the western cultures here to see the trees and help bring awareness to the plight of the jungle.
